Change logon screen

i would prefer Resource Hacker to change the logon background!!!!

step 1: select the picture u wana add in ur logon screen.(its better if u convert the *.jpeg to *.bmp)

step 2: Download Resource Hacker and Replacer( just google)

step 3: Then go to "c:\windows\system32\logonui.exe"

step 4: Run Resource Hacker and open this "logonui.exe"

step 5: Then in the RH window, Go to "Bitmap"->select "100" ->right click on "1033" bitmap -> replace bitmap

step 6: Select d picture to replace and click ok

step 7: Save the file in any other location in the name "logonui.exe"

step 8: Run Replacer, first choose the original file to be replaced and
drag that file to the replacer window and press enter.... Then drag the saved file to the window and press enter

step 9: Now just restart and enjoy ur new logon screen....

Note: Once u start trying this, u'll come to knw that its not a simple task.
But when u keep on working and explore things u'll get use to it....
Its all a matter of trial and error...

One more thing, i changed my xp logon screen to windows 7 logon screen following these steps only...
Resource Hacker may vary from machine to machine.
Warning: Remember u r playing with windows default settings and i'm not responsibe for any mistakes that u commit...

I've also attached a logonui.exe for those who need windows 7 logon screen for xp...
(only for normal screen not for wide screen like laptops)
Use Replacer and replace the original logonui.exe with this...

I'll try to create logon screen for laptops on my next post...
Just give it a try!!!
